    Function oppositePoint

    • Calculate the opposite point on the ecliptic

      Returns the point 180° opposite the input position. This is used to calculate DSC from ASC, and IC from MC.

      Parameters

      • longitude: number

        Ecliptic longitude in degrees (0-360)

      Returns number

      Opposite point in degrees (0-360)

      oppositePoint(15)     // 195 (15° + 180°)
      oppositePoint(195)    // 15  (195° + 180° = 375° = 15°)
      oppositePoint(0)      // 180
      oppositePoint(270)    // 90
